About Me

WELLBEING4WOOFS  DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOUR

Hi, my name is Helen.  I’m passionate about dogs and have been all my life.  I’ve owned dogs for over 30 years and know how dogs can transform your life for the better.  Yet it was a particular Cocker Spaniel called Tilly that brought me to where I am today.  It was clear that Tilly was uncomfortable in some situations and many a walk ended in tears as she lunged and barked at other dogs. Both Tilly and I were finding our relationship stressful. Looking for answers I found a mass of information,  received lots of conflicting advice and tried lots of different ways to resolve things but nothing worked. So, I decided I needed to learn for myself how to help Tilly.

DEVELOPING MY KNOWLEDGE

My learning journey started over 10 years ago and continues to this day. From obtaining a City and Guilds in Canine Studies I gained a First Class Honours Degree in Canine Behaviour Management in 2018.  I am now a certified behaviourist and Pro Dog Trainer.  Alongside my academic study I volunteered at my local rescue centre gaining the vital practical experience. I  am constantly improving my knowledge to provide you with the most up to date scientific research and keep my learning up to date by attending seminars, conferences and webinars. I am proud to be a Platinum member of the Pet Professional Network, a Full Member of International Canine Behaviourists and the International Companion Animal Network. For more details of my qualifications and professional memberships see below.  I am also DBS checked and fully insured.

So, if you are reading this and don’t know how to help your dog; I understand how you feel.
